The first four are PDLs and I know better. I run myself ragged on payday tying to pay the fee and I am lucky that I have an understanding boss that will let me take the time during the day so these people aren't harrassing me. although they all call me at work. PDL-yes is the worst and the folks that work there should or are mafioso.
I am guilty of being desperate, stupid and unable to manage my money. However acceptance IS the first step to recovery and I thank you so much for having this website to go to.
I can't wait for your response.

I can totally sympathize with you but, unfortunately, I live in CA and am not familiar with most of the payday lenders that you listed other than Advance America. Advance America allowed me to enter into an extended payment plan (EPP) which allows me to make 4 semi-monthly payments to them until the balance is paid in full; no additional fees were assessed other than the original loan amount of $255 plus the $45 finance fee.
I recently decided that I could no longer let the PDL take all of my check; they were getting about 75% of my net pay. It really hurt in the long run because now my home is on the brink of foreclosure and my car on the verge of repossession. When I tried telling the mortgage company about my foolish mistake in getting payday loans, one of the unsympathetic representatives told me it wasn't her fault I was a poor money manager.
I did, however, decide to take action and closed my two bank accounts (Wells Fargo and WaMu). Wells Fargo was really cool and allowed me to open a new account but placed a full block on my original account which I had to do because, not only did I have payday loans, but I had also taken advantage of the Direct Deposit Advance (DDA) feature allowed by Wells Fargo and I owed them $460 + a $46 finance charge. The bank told me that if the account was closed before that DDA cleared, it would automatically open my account back up and then the PDL would start trying to debit my account again.
WaMu wasn't very nice. I tried talking to the manager at the branch I usually go to and he got all annoyed at me and kept asking me "but, don't you owe the money to these lenders?" Finally, I left and went to another branch where I offered no explanation but just told them I wanted to close the account because I didn't like Chase Bank.
The lenders haven't done much as of yet, other than call me non-stop, but I know it's still early as I only closed my account 1 month ago.
Anyways, hang in there. I'm sure others will give you some great advice applicable to your state and the lenders you owe! Best of luck to you! :)
I am glad I did not sign up with WAMU.......it they are going to
I am glad I did not sign up with WAMU.......it they are going to act like that towards customers.
