Did your husband give them permission to add that balance to his account, or otherwise agree to it? If not, then he needs to call them and have it removed.
We just found out about this and he has tried to talk with them
We just found out about this and he has tried to talk with them and they are claiming since we are married that they have every right to do this. I mean my account that has an outstanding balance is under my social sec number which is my debt, and his account is under his social sec number. So how can they get away with this?? Should he send a letter or something???

Even though the balance has been transferred can I send them a DV letter? I seem to be getting the run around when I ask why the balance is so high.
