i would leave it alone.ASSET ACCEPTANCE is one of the worst JDB bottomfeeders out there.they do not play fair.if you do want to pay make sure you get it in writing and you get a letter stating the debt has been either been satisfied or paid.as i said they are famous for being illegal,unethical,and criminal in how they do business.

I just tried to settle an account with them today and was hung up on, laughed at, spoken to like I was an idiot and told I would not get anything in writing from them. They are grade-a jerks. I'm not sending them anything.

I would start researching case law that upholds credit cards as open ended accounts in KY. If you can find supporting case law then you can claim a 5 year SOL. If, however, KY holds CC's a written accounts, then you are subject to the 15 year SOL. Once you determine 5 or 15, then you can respond. Store credit cards seem to fall under the 5 year but not sure about bank cards
