I live in ohio and have outstanding Payday loans...from what I have found out from asking the payday lenders the doors will be closed on Nov 5 if the bill passes.....some of them have also told me that they would give consumers time to pay off their debts since they will no longer be giving out loans.

I think it was originally supposed to go into effect at the end of September, then the opponents supposedly got enough to signatures to put it on the ballot to try to repeal it. I don't know if it had actually gone into effect or not. Maybe because it went to the vote they held off on putting it into effect until the vote. I'm so proud of my fellow Ohioans who voted in favor of helping to curtail these lenders. Almost every county voted yes!
