Debt consolidation ?

Does joining a debt consolidation agency hurt your chances of getting a mortgage?
I wouldnt think so....it is getting your debts clean up or paid

I kind of think the 'opposite'. Yep.....you ARE getting your debts taking care of, however, if the Mortgage company know you are in some kind of debt consolidation program, i would think the Mortgage may think it's gonna be just another debt. I really don't know for sure.....just trying to look at it from a 'outsider'. Someone else, in the forum, may have some professional advice for you.
