Non Wage Garnishment/PLEASE RESPOND/NEED HELP
Date: Mon, 11/03/2008 - 08:09
I am totally confused about a non wage garnishment I received.
First off, we got papers from the court about wage garnishment. To prevent that we could either pay 25% of current pay, join a consumer credit that adhered to Ohio law, or prove we do not live in ohio. Well, we paid the $393 because we didn't have alot of time to respond. We are looking into consumer credit counseling. However, now they issued a non wage garnishment. Our bank account was already affected but it was inbetween paychecks so there was not much in there. Our car is paid off and our house has no equity. So, now what? What can they do and how do we handle this? We can request a hearing. Should we do that and if we do what do we do?
Sorry for all the questions but I am clueless on this matter and cannot afford a lawyer.

Were you served notice to appear in court? Did you not appear? M
Were you served notice to appear in court? Did you not appear? Maybe you should close your current bank account and open a new one to prevent your account from being overdrawn.
