They just called again for the 3rd time today. I picked up and said I wasn't here because I just don't feeling like dealing with them. I told the lady I was a babysitter. She says, thinking I'm the babysitter mind you... "This is Tracy Thomas and I'm calling her regarding a legal matter. Can you call her or something or get ahold of her?" I tell her no that I can't but I can take a message.. To which she says "Well, like I said, this is a LEGAL matter, tell her to call me at 1-800-491-0061 and reference case #(file number), with a filing date of November 6th"

I'm so pissed I can't see straight. I know it was me on the phone, but that could have been ANYONE that she is giving out information to!!!

And every time they call they leave a different call back number. Now I know that NES can't sue because Citi Cards still owns the debt.

Is there any way to nail her on this one? I know she was talking to me and I didn't get it recorded because PA is a 2 party state. But she didn't KNOW it was me, and here is is volunteering all kinds of information that would be no ones business but myself and my husbands!!

I'm about to SCREAM.

Jeezus, I'm screwed now. I figured out what happened. I had some student loans with AES, they were kind enough to work out a modified repayment plan with me. Chase Education, however, was not so nice.. They refused to work with me and send my $4,000 student loan to NES. So now they have my husbands credit card AND my student loan, great.

You want to be careful of that student loan..that one will come bite you on the butt...it did for me. I am surprised they were not willing at all to work with you though. Was this a student loan from the government, or was it a private loan you used for school? If it isn't the government you may have more options.
