got a call from toney lopez aca credit

I got a call from this guy today on my work answering machine and my cell he called from a 201 area call i guess they try and fool you to pick up instead of an 866 or 800 number all he said was to call its important left me a file number he did not say what companiy he from or why he is calling he left an 800 number i googled it and say its from aca credit collections so i am assuming this is about a payday loan anyone here dealt with this guy what should i do should i bother answering his call or calling back iam from new york and i know pdl's are ilegal here
