Well, thanks to so much help I've received (and I thank all of you), I have closed my bank account. BofA was extremely helpful and understanding. I'm from Florida so I'm not sure what applies to the ipdls and what doesn't, but I will send C&D emails today and follow up with certified mail. From what I understand or have read ameriloan, United Cash Loans and Paydayloan-Yes all are not licensed. Florida Law states that regardless of geographic location they must be licensed with Florida and they are not, the loans are not collectable. I'm not quite sure if I am interpreting that the proper way. I sent emails the other day requesting proof of their licenses to offer loans in the state of Florida...did not receive a reply other than the normal "your loan is due on...." So next should be the C&Ds right? Should I continue to send the requests for the license information and just bombard them with that question? I only had the "contact us" avenue on their website and have asked if anyone has a fax number for them so I could fax this stuff too. My loans are relatively new than some but I knew I was getting into trouble when I had to take an additional one out to get a bill paid because my finance charges took a toll on my paycheck. I just want to make sure I have my steps right here and thank you all so very much for all your help. I hope to be in a position to help the same way in the future.

Yay! Good for you! It feels good, doesn't it? :) Congrats and here is to your success! Cheers!

I had 4 loans as of October and I've settled with one of them (500FastCash) for the original amount with the help of this site. I make sure to e-mail my letters every single day and Payday-Loan-Yes did call me a few times but every time they did, I made sure to send the letter to them by both e-mail and fax. I think they got tired of receiving it but I still get the same, "Read your contract" crap...it's pretty funny. I say, "Why would the Iowa Attorney General and Iowa Division of Banking have reason to misinform me?" and I get an all caps response, "WE ARE SORRY YOU ARE MISINFORMED. READ YOUR CONTRACT." The phone calls have ceased so now I'm just playing e-mail hard ball with all of them in attempt to get a response. It's well worth it and I feel so blessed to have found this site. I've reported their activity to anyone and everyone and every time they do anything, I report it. Yes, it takes time, but I know I'm helping someone else out in the long run.
