Garnishments for MI

Anyone know where I can find out if there's a garnishment out? I tried MI courts online but you can't search their files.

the courts should have it on record if there was a court date and what came of it.you may have to contact your county clerk by phone.it may not show online if a garnishment was ordered.

Thanks.. i'm trying to help a friend. They do have to file with the courts for garnshiments right? They can't just send something to payroll?
