I have 5 payday loans and have used these companies for over a year now. I recently sent them all demand letter for the excess interest paid against my state laws (Massachusetts) does anyone think these companies will respond? I did stop all payments going forward with them to force the issue. the companies are paydayyes, paychecktoday, cashtransfercenters, cashdirectexpress and oneclickcash. all owe refunds per law, some I paid over $3500 in interest.

stop payments won't work as they will change amounts,co names, and even put through a paper check.your best betis to close your current account and open a new one.these illegal pdl's will respond, but with threats and harrassment.don't believe a word of it.take care of your bank account first, then send letters revoking all wage assignments as these pdl's will try that also.

update on my status. Paul I did close my bank accounts prior to sending these letters to the pdl companies. I am suprised that so far only one company has contacted regarding my complaint of overpaying interest and said they will respond to me shortly.

My big question is what is going to happen with the ones that are not contacting me? I fully stated in my letter that no contact at work and revoked any/all voluntery wage assignments but I really cant afford to have them contact my employer. Does anyone now if these companies will try this?
I heard Cash transfer centers will try this even though I revoked it with them.
Not sure about paychecktoday, paydayyes, cashdirectexpress & oneclickcash

I tried to settle with paychecktoday since I have over paid all the people but the person I spoke with said he would just turn it over to there fraud department?? I said gladly please patch me through since I can not find your license to lend in Massachusetts or any state for that matter then he just hung up on me?
Can anybody share with me what to expect next? I sent & faxed out the letters last wednesday and figured they would have been all over it by now?

Thanks in advance for any and all replys.
