Am I off the hook?
Date: Tue, 11/25/2008 - 15:37
A medical debt of $6,000 that did not belong to me showed up on my credit report. I disputed it, and it was "verified."
I fired off a DV, and disputed it again with the credit bureaus. I checked my report today, and the account is still there, but under status it shows "NO STATUS," and it shows N/A for all of the amounts. The $6,000 is not there anymore. What exactly does that mean? If the account had been successfully disputed, shouldn't it be off altogether?
