I am looking for assistance in obtaining the address to Norstar Cash or just plain Norstar?

I have had no luck and I have even gone to the licensee database for CA. The name is not appearing.

Can anyone please assist?

Thanks

can you tell us how much you borrowed, and how much was debited from your account?also if the name doesn't come up in the database they aren't licensed therefore are illegal and you only owe the principle borrowed.

The best way to pay off loan and keep them from debiting your bank account is to set up payment arrangmentw with them with a debit card or visa...even if its broken up into 2 or 3 or whatever payments ....otherwise they will screw up your account with alot of ACH debits...its happening to me now..My Wamu account is currently -880.00 overdrawn now!

that is if you owe.if you don't then close or put your account on deposits only status.you can do that even if it is overdrawn.

BE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT. IF YOU BORROW $200 YOU'LL END UP PAYING BACK $460 IF YOU DO NOT PAY THE BALANCE IN FULL. DO NOOOOTTT USE NORSTAR!!
YOU WILL BE CHARGED ADDITIONAL FEES IF YOU RENEW THIS LOAN. As an example, suppose you borrow $200 for 14 days at an APR of 782.14%. The Finance Charge would be $60.00. If you did not repay the loan at maturity but chose instead to renew the balance by obtaining a new loan in the same amount and for an additional 14-day period, you would incur an additional Finance Charge of $60.00. So, if you renew the $200 loan 4 times, the total Finance Charge you would be required to pay would be $300.00.

ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE
The cost of your credit as a yearly rate (e)
1095%
FINANCE CHARGE
The dollar amount the credit will cost you.
$60.00
Amount Financed
The amount of credit provided to you or on your behalf.
$200.00
Total of Payments
The amount you will have paid after you have made the scheduled payment.
$260.00

I borrowed $300.00 from Norstar in September. I paid a total of $240 in interest alone, and a total of $540 altogether before taking action to stop the bleeding. I got extremely angry and then I got smart: I researched the internet about the legalities of such companies in my state (CA) what my rights were, and my options.

1. I called Norstar, gave them a sob story about a sudden financial emergency and asked them to please skip my next payment until the following pay period.

2. I went to my bank and asked them to close the account but I did have to pay the overdraft fees first. I didn't have the money at the time so I asked them to remove automatic courtesy pay, so that if any new attempts came thru all I'd have to pay were bank fees.

3. I established a new account (the CU let me open it while the other was still in limbo, thank God) and notified all legit creditors of the new account.

4. I typed a Cease & Desist letter to Norstar and faxed it to: 866 659-0492, attention a supervisor named "Mook" (seriously, that's his name and I even verified the spelling).

5. Guess what?? I logged into my Norstar account a week later and the status was mysteriously updated to "PAID IN FULL".

Anger is power, just don't be afraid to throw that knockout punch!

This company is so illegal it's not funny. They set up a debit to pay off the outlandish amount I owed them (on top of the outlandish 'renewal fees' that I stopped my bank from honoring) and they MESSED up which account to take it from, incorrectly set up payment dates I had agreed to. Horrible. But, I got a customer service lady to send me a Letter that loan was paid in full...here is the address shown on the letterhead...
505 E. Windmill Lane, Suite 1B #105,
Las Vegas, NV 89123

We paid them off from a ridiculous loan and now they did the same thing to us just suddenly said they would give us a new loan and said we approved it and applied for it. We did not. I cannot find address info anywhere I'm reporting to BBB, contacted my bank, put a 90 day hold on my SS#. I dont know what to do! Bank says they cant stop from depositing but can go from there....

I too was a victim of this company. I borrowed $300.00 and figured it was the typical payday loan where they debited the amount out of my account next month. When I noticed they only debited $90.00 I thought oh wow they must debit $90.00 a month until they get their full $390.00. I noticed the other day that they debited $90.00 then $75.00 then $50.00 all in one day. As I started searching through my account I noticed they have collected a total of $765.00 since December.

I was outraged and a little imbarrassed that I didn't notice. When I called then they said I still have a balance of $262.00. I asked how that was possible.

Here I borrowed $300.00 and agreed to pay $390.00

They have debited $765.00 and show I still owe $262.00. When I asked to speak to her supervisor she told me I would have to call back and hung up on me.

Unaware of the pdl laws in CA i took out a 200 payday loan from Norstar Cash. I tried paying off the loan before I got hit with "refinance" changes. But when I called to try to pay off the loan they hung up in my face. I tried calling back and emailing serveral times with no response. This prompted me to do immediate research on this company (thanks Norstar!). I am disgusted to read some of the stories on this site as well as many other sites. And I also did research on the pdl laws in CA. Once I realized I was only obligated to pay back the principle amount, I let them keep chargin g me for "refinancing" my loan. Once they reached 240$, I closed my bank account. I figured since I couldnt contact THEM, if they werent getting anymore of my money they would contact ME. And it worked. They called me this morning ordering me to pay back 300+ dollars. I refused, and not politely I might add. I also insisted if what they were doing is so legal feel free to take me to court. He told me to have a nice day and hung up in my face. HA!

I found a very interesting LEGAL document that can help California residents greatly if you're having issues with this company. I have already faxed a copy of this document to them as well as a Desist and Refrain letter. Here's the document. I hope this helps!! Good luck.

I was in a desperate situation at the beginning of Feb 09 and began filling out applications for a short term loan on the Internet. Because I don't receive a direct deposit into my banking account, naturally, there wasn't a reply from any of the companies accept for one, NORSTAR CASH. A rep from their company called me back to verify my bank account info. The Norstar rep made a three-way call to my bank, BOFA, to verify if I had an account and also if I had been receiving a direct deposit at all. My bank rep could not verify a direct deposit because I'd never received one. I cash my checks and deposit them myself. Needless to say, the Norstar Rep DENIED or DISQUALIFIED my application and told me that I could not receive a loan from them. I found out later that month when looking online into my account that they had deposited $500.00 into my account!! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS??? I feel very strongly that the company did this fraudulently to for me to acquire fees to pay to them. A fraudulent to get paid... IN FEES!!! Since then, I've written emails, called and held on for hour then hung up on by a supervisor, Mr. Steve Jackson out of the Nevada branch of this very fraudulent company. I have been trying my best to speak with someone in their corporate offices but no one will give me an address or phone number. So far, they have deducted over $1000.00 from my bank account and I have acquired over $500.00 in overdraft and insufficient fund fees. The company will try to deduct up to and over 10 times in one day!!! Also, I have been lied to on more than five occasions. 1 rep told me I owed $116.00, looking into this ficticious account online at one time told me I owed $89.00. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, he told me my so called loan that they fraudulently set up was satisfied then they sent me an email saying so. I called the day after and a rep told me that I owed $160.00. Pretty much the company is a FRAUD and tried to hustle money from hard working people's account. I am a single mother and have had my most important bills put off because they have gone into my account any given day. It seems as if the reps clock into work and work their networks to go into peoples account that they have access to and just randomly take money out. I am in the process of filing a small claim against the company. I may go even as far as filing a civil suite against the company because they have not ceased business as they were supposed to do according to the California Corporations Commissioner. Norstar was sent a Desist and Refrain Order by means of the State of California Business, Transportation, and Housing Agency Department of Corporations in violation of section 23005 of the Financial Code. Please wish me luck in my case. I wish anyone who has been violated by this company much luck on prosecuting Norstar. No one deserves this. Especially single parents with no money to support their children because it's been taken by this such company, NORSTAR CASH. WHAT A DAMN FRAUD!!!

I am going through the same thing. I had taken out a loan a long time ago and had paid it off. Now, I just discovered that they had put money in my account again about a month ago and have been debiting my account without me knowing. I can't seem to get a hold of anyone there. I'd love to find out how this turns out. Beware all. Oh, and I too am in California

They have been withdrawing money from my bank account in the amount of $60 in different installments for a total of $240. When I tried to call them and find out what is going on, they won't let me speak to a supervisor and tell me their is nobody there on duty. I spoke to a woman by the name of Dawn and she wouldn't give me her last name. They said that I spoke to them on a certain date and said that I wanted the loan. I said this is untrue and I needed some type of proof of me asking for the loan. They hung up on me. Not once, but 4 times. I have stopped payment on my account with the bank and have filed fraud charges. We will see what happens. Warning to all.. don't do business with them.

I really wish I had researched this company before I did business with them, or even read some of these posts. Same thing happened with me with this company, I borrowed 300 and when they started deducting money from my account I was $60 one day and then $90 another totaling to $240. I called to find out what the remaining balance was and the lady told me $470. I told her she was out of her mind and that I would only pay what I borrowed, soon thereafter I closed my account. They called me and asked when can I pay off the remaining balance or make some kind of payment arrangements. I told her never. She then left a nasty message on my voicemail and threatened to send me to collections. I told her if the company was legit, go ahead and send me to collections.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to stop this company from harrassment?

I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

So I expected to pay my loan off today with a payment of 13 dollars. Sadly I knew of the renewal fees of 60 on a 200 loan and agreed. But today, I saw that I had been debited 68. Called the number (866 668 9409) and it appears to have been disconnected? After reading this I think I need to close my checking acct. Anyone else unable to even contact them?

I also borrow money from norstar cash. I had fax a letter stating that I want to pay the full amount before the loan due date . They only deduct the $150.00 that were just the fees. I called and it seems that the number is disconnected. I called a few times and finally got through and was on hold for about ten minutes . I gave up and just hung up. I decided to call my bank and told them to put a stop on norstar cash and they did. I don???t want to be paying increments or deducting fees every time I get paid. This company is full of crap. I also tried faxing again and unable to fax. Same thing with the website. Is the company out of business or change names. I can???t seem to able to get a hold of them. Does anyone have their mailing address. I haven???t heard from them. I was out to lunch and someone called the office and asked for me. Zack from PDL and left no message. :x :x

Same thing here. Kept taking and taking. The reason the amount is different every time is because when you do a stop payment at the bank it has to be for the exact amount they are going to take...no one knows how much they are going to take because the amount is different every time. My bank told me I would have to change my bank account and then put a note on there not to take any payment requests from norstar because even then they can still take if there isn't a note on the account specifically telling them not to. I have paid $1195 for a $400 loan. When I called the lady told me that she saw that I had not approved the loan to be taken, then after talking to Mook Yates her supervisor she told me "oh yes I now see that you approved this loan over the phone" which both her and I knew I didn't. Then told me that Mook said he would close the account for $200 even though according to their crazy math I owed $350. I feel I have paid them over and over for that loan. I am done. I am closing my account today and sending them a Desist and Refrain order as the other lady did above. It is the ONLY way you will get them off your back. I'm praying it gets them off mine.
