Debt settlement

Does anyone know if we enroll with a program (like J Warren Financial or the like) and are expected to save in order to pay the settlement, are we still paying the credit card bills during this time?
No you would not pay both their payment and the credit card paym
No you would not pay both their payment and the credit card payment because if you could you wouldn't need to do debt settlement..right?
