Ok so my cousin has had a credit card with a company for over 15 years now pays her bills on time consistantly. So she happened to look at her card the other day and noticed it had expired. She called the company and they told her there was a hold on her account and they couldn't send her a new card. She was like what why? They couldn't give her a reason although they did tell her that she does pay her bills on time and very well. All they kept telling her was because of the privacy act they couldn't tell her why but they would look at her account again on the 31st of this month and see if they can send her a new card? How is that possible? I've looked online to try and see what privacy act they are talking about since it's her card and her account why couldn't they tell her the reason

has she possibly stopped using her card 6 months (or longer) and

did she ask to speak to a supervisor? Sometimes moving up the chain of command helps hurry things along.

also can she login online and see what her account is saying? MOST cards allow online account access.
