I have a couple credit cards that that are now a couple of month’s past due. I keep getting calls from collectors, In-house 1st party & 3rd party collectors and telling them the same story. No on is reading the Mini Miranda and the last person I spoke with hung up after I had asked him twice to speak with his Supervisor. I have a cassette recorder hooked up to my phone so I have all of these calls recorded. I’m wondering what I can do about this and if anything where I can go.

If the 3rd party collectors are not quoting the mini-miranda, you can file a complaint with the FTC, the AG's in yours and their states and, if they are members, the ACA. Just remember that there are no fdcpa cops to go to and in the grand scheme of things it is a very minor violation.

Also, make sure it is legal in your state to record phone conversations without two party consent.
