Platinum One Credit Card -unsecured credit

I got an e-mail message for this firm. No credit checks etc.
Sounds like a scam to me. Has anybody ever dealt with them?
Searched them on google -only found the offer and a complaint.

it is a store or catalog card.it isn't a major card and nothing that will really improve your credit.i got those emails too.it does say no a scam,but not a real credit card either.

It is probably one of those cards that charge you $300 to open the account and if you want to use the card, you have to buy from their catalog.
I just throw them away.
