Yup, Malta is illegal. The legal pdl's will probably sue you if you don't attempt to make some type of payment arrangements with them.

you should contact them right away to make payment arrangements before serious action can be taken. make sure you stay calm and ask this board any questions. you will get correct advice and support here.

I wouldn't call them if I were you, I would make sure any arrangements you make are strictly in writing.

Send a certified letter? A debt validation doesn't seem right. Should I send some kind of settlement offer?

I suppose a nice simple "please only communicate with me by mail to resolve this issue"?
