has anyone delt or currently dealing with unifund. i was just woundering because around 9/2007 i received a letter from any attorny claiming to be hired by unifund to collect on an old credit card from 8 years ago. i never received a call or letter from unifund itself. so i sent the attorny a validation of debt letter and so on and i did get a response from the attorny it was a letter from unifund saying this debt is real. and was signed. that was litterally it. after that letter i got from them i havent heard a peep out of either of them. i am thinking that is weird since its been over a year now they would have sue'd me by now right if they were going to?

did you check your credit report to see if these clowns are on it.do a search for UNIFUND i the search bar top right.you will see alot about this bottomfeeder deluxe.

i would check to see if this attorney is actually an attorney the.UNIFUND is a horrible bottomfeeder.i wouldn't put it past them to send a false letter claiming to be attorney's.it just seems that the letter they sent was not valdation at all.re-send your validation request again.

ok, i was woundering since i havent heard nothing from them in over a year i would just leave it alone, but i know in reality it wont just go away. i'm serious the validation of debt letter they sent me literally just said "this debt is valid". i mean what is that. do they think we are stupid. i thought they have to have acual proof like the original contract? i could be wrong but if that was the case anyone could say that is a valid debt and try to collect on it.

right, that is why you should re-send your letter with an additional phrase...this is not validation.please provide proper validation.send it certified mail return receipt.
