Hello all,

Last night I got a call at home from "Hopkins law firm"...I answered it and an "Eva Harris" answered and when I told her that it was me she put me through to her supervisor....He asked me if I had been "briefed" on this....and I laughed at him...The caller ID said 866-849-3223. The number that I was to call back today was 786-522-2312. They were calling on an old payday loan back in 2005 from quik payday. He told me I was going to be arrested yada yada...My question is I googled Hopkins Law frim and they are a real company? Are the scum bag illegal companies just using fake names...Before I was dealing with a man with a thick accent....this man didnt have one. Are they 1 in the same?

i did the same thing and it didn't reveal an actual name.i would say they are either.

a rent-a-lawyer
a bottomfeeder JDB.

sounds like another headache tweedy.these people are ridiculous to say the least.

Hopkins Law is just another alias of the infamous India-based debt collection scam that also uses the false names US National Bank, Federal Investigation Bureau, US Legal Investigation Bureau, US Federal Bank, Sonic Bank, United Legal Processing, Morgan Associates, United Pay Services, National Processing, White Collar Crime Unit and many more.

All their threats are false and illegal. If they call again, tell them nothing other than that you know that they're a scam and that you've reported them to law enforcement. And be sure to report each call to your state's attorney general, your local police, the FTC and your local FBI field office.

For more details about this scam, go to 800notes.com and run a report on the following phone number: 607-428-0037, and then look for my message.

Hope this helps.
