NES is asking for a debt that I have no knowledge of!!!!!!

NES has been calling me at work everyday asking me to pay $3500 off a Bank of America MBNA account from 2004 that I don't recall signing up for!!! I honestly don't know this debt because I don't have the credit card nor any statements and I don't recall signing up for this credit card. And these guys will not send me information. I have just sent out a cease and decease letter to them, but how do I go about asking for the credit card information????

First off you need to pull copies of your credit reports from ww

First off you need to pull copies of your credit reports from www.annualcreditreport.com You may have been a victim of ID Theft. Review your reports and see if there are any entries you don't recognize. If you are a victim, go to www.ftc.gov and click on the IDT link. Follw the steps outlined there.

thanks guys. First, I sent a cease and decease letter (which they signed for on 12/15/08), and the phone calls have stopped, but nothing has been sent to me in the mail. My next step is to pull my credit, and if NES is on there, I will ask for a debt validation letter and also inform the credit bureau that I'm disputing the debt as well. Is there anything else I need to do?
