My daughter had her van reposed by armed recovery men in bullet proof vest at 5:00 AM. Six month pregnants, she was not much threat to them.

Capitol One are such jerks to work with. They told her if she paid the past due amount by the 16th she could get the van back.. She paid it yesterday, the 11th and when she called them to see how to get it back she learned it had been moved from only an hour away to a location 4.5 hours away and ready to go on the auction block.

Capitol One is making it near impossible for her to get the vehicle back and it is one lie after the other.

The also destroyed the license plate and told her, if she did get it back she would have to buy a new one. What is that about.

This is the first repo experience any of us have been through, I do think her and her husband have FINALLY learned their lesson about paying their bills.

She is in Indiana

They did not pull the guns but they were in plain sight, plus they had on bullet proof vest.

They just got to Lexington KY to the auction lot but probably will not be able to get it back till Monday, the lot claims their computers shut down at 3:30 and guess what time they got there!

The repo company in Indianapolis said their business has quadrupled over the last two months and they ran out of room to store all the vehicles. I'll bet it gets worse before it gets better.

They got it back but not w/o getting forceful, my son in law is 6'6" and pretty intimidating.

The van has been ram sacked, both glove boxes dumped and the brakes are messed up. The repo guys just hooked up to it and pulled it out of the driveway to the road while it was in park so who knows what kind of damage they may have caused.

My daughter wanted to call Capitol One and give them a piece of her mind but I told her the best way to hurt them was to pay off the loan, get them in their pocket. Not that a few bucks will hurt but.
