is there a minimum "age" of a debt that can be included in a debt management program?

"dmp"...I never heard of that one. Or..maybe I have and just don't know what the initials mean..LOL I learned, on this site, that ALOT of 'debt settlement' and 'Debt Con' companies are scams and take your money. I DID deal with one, in the past. I DID lose alittle bit of money.....it just got to the point where I couldn't get ahold of anyone by phone or mail. And I wasn't see results on my CR's. If you DO go with a Settlement/Con company, 'look into' them very carefully. Look at the BBB rating.if they have any compliants, etc.

Wanna say, too..........no, the 'age' of the debt ( I don't think?) matters. However......I believe the debts have to be Unsecured debts.
