I just got an email from payday loan yes to settle my account for $189

if payday loan yes is ilegal/unlicensed dont i only owe the principle????? meaning i shouldnt accept their settlement offer because i have already reimbursed $305 of a $350 loan, just want to clarify

I had applied for a City view cash loan which I was approved for 200 dollars. The money isnt in the account yet and I cannot find a number any frickin where! It may have to do with it just being a holiday, but...Help! I need a number!

I have looked up the reservation but it only has a PO Box. I have never found an actual address for them. They have other names as well besides City View.

OK requires a PDL to be licensed and City View/Red River is not licensed.

I had gotten $300 from City View I had paid back $510.00. I recently closed my account at the bank so they would quit debitting it and today they called and said I owed $390 and they would garnish my check how is that so?

Understood, but that does not stop the ILLEGAL lenders from creating documents and calling your job. Verbal contracts are the worst to deal with trust me. They will and have tried this type of action before and have succeeded because folks did not revoke any voluntary wage assignments. You stated they threatened garnishmnet, then that is the red flag they are sneaky :? It is better to be safe than sorry IMO.

You can remove the cease and desist portion for your payroll dept. This is only for the lender if they are contacting you at work. In the end it is your call if you want to send the revoke letter. Best of luck!

You don't owe them anything, they owe YOU $205.00. You need to get the FTC and your Attorney General involved, at least file complaints.

I wrote to you on April 16th and I sent them the letter like your example now I am getting phone calls from a collection agency for payday loans and it is someone with a foreign accent they left a message on my cell phone telling me to call them back or have my attorney call them back and then at the end they said "he felt sorry for what was about to unfold on me. I wish you good luck for your kids" what can I do it was really kind of scarry.

Yes, I realize this is very scary but that's their intentions, to scare you. Ignore them, file complaints against them. Simply don't talk to them unless you're going to tell them you are sending the recording to your Attorney General's office, and don't just threaten, do it! What they are doing is ILLEGAL!

I have sent everything into Security Check showing that I have paid them $510.00 as a dispute. Security Check called today and said that City View has not responded to the dispute so I still owe that $395.00. What do I do? I don't want to have a $395.00 hot check.

I HAD A LOAN FOR $400 AND I DEFAULTED AND WENT TO COLLECTIONS BUT THE LOAN WAS UNDER THE WRONG SSN#, NAME, AND DOB! I CALLED THE COLL AGENCY THE ACCT WENT TO WHICH IS SECURITYCHECK AND SENT IN 2 WRITTEN DISPUTES, I'M PAYING THE BAL IN FULL THIS WEEK FOR ALL OF IT, HOWEVER SECURITY CHECK WON'T CHANGE THE SSN#/NAME/DOB (ALL THE INFO INCLUDING BANK INFO IS MINE), WHAT COULD I DO NOW? I just want to reply to the fact that these people are trying to scare you... I had a loan with City View in 2009 and I paid it back in one full payment. However, that has not stopped men "with foreign accents" from calling and threatening me with lawsuits, police at my door, reporting me to social security etc. so that my benefits will cease. When I received a call from the head company offering me a new loan b/c I was such a customer I was told that they were suing these people and to report any information I received in the future. It still continues as recently as yesterday- a year and a half since the original loan. I am not sure if these people have just stolen or bought my information from filling out the forms to apply for loans or if they were originally offiliated with city view but it did begin there... so beware who you send money to because you could end up paying back someone who has nothing to do with your loan. It is a shame the way people prey on those of us who are struggling to get by... I for one will never partake in another payday loan.
