How can I verify if a on-line loan company is legal and safe to work with???

I am planing on getting a loan thru Woods Lending Firm @ yahoo.com but I need to check that they are legal and safe to use. How can I verify they are OK to use??

have you checked with the BBB and searched the web for feedback or complaints? Personally I wouldnt use any company with a yahoo address....think that right there is a big enough stop sign.

actually,it sounds like one of those advance fee loan scams that will spam this forum.i would steer clear.
