Hello to all,

I haven't written in a while but I wanted to give you an update on what's been happening since I defaulted on my pdls in 2006. I have gotten PIF from One Click Cash. They were the first to fold. EZPayday Cash, Worldwide Cash, United Cash Loans and Checkmate were all set up thru T&C. EZPayDay Cash turned me over to collections but had agreed to discharge the debt. This one was a result of a BBB complaint. I heard twice from the CA for them and when I questioned whether the CA was licensed in AZ, they never called me again. I had also advised them to stop contacting me as the original creditor had forgiven the loan. Cashnet USA and Checkmate both turned me over to CA. Both CA's were not licensed and I sent debt validation letters to both back in July and have not heard from them since.
I complained to the BBB about United Cash Loans because they were such idiots over the remaining $45 that I owed them that they wrote off the remaining balance. I stopped sending payments to T & C now at least until I hear something from any one else. (I hope not). I had almost paid off the last storefront when we ended up reborrowing from them again. This is Advance America and were great to work with. I may ask for the repayment plan with them again. The last thorn in my side has been CTC. I didn't put them with T&C because frankly, I thought I'd be able to pay them one last time and be done with them and they scared me. I have kept this one going and am ready to take the plunge and default with them. I know they are bad to deal with. I don't want to close my account (again) so I am going to check with my credit union about blocking them. They are the only ones I have yet to deal with. I will also ask T & C about them. I would much rather pay T&C and I know I need to revoke the wage assignment, etc. I am working 3 jobs, but when my husband quit his job last year and finally got work again, if hurt us so badly. I have told him he needs to get getting the 2nd job until things improve for his current job. He has applied for Assistant manager but we don't want to count on that until there's an offer or an opening. It just means he will be eligible. If he can get that, then he will be making about what he was before. I want to thank all of you "regulars" on this forum. I couldn't have done any of this without you. You have given me so much knowledge and empowerment. I am ready to take on CTC and not be intmidated by anyone of these pdls. I hope that my experiences can help others. BTW, I cashed in points for the very first time ever and was able to get a part of my son't Christmas gifts on Ebay! Thanks again.

Well my credit union did an ACH block on CTC's "Northway Debit" and "Northway Credit" on a company level and waived the fee for me. I faxed and e-mailed the wage assignment revocation/ACH revocation combo letter to them today and I will mail CCRR same letter later in the week. I tried just now to go on their website but now I don't have access. I e-mailed a copy of the wage assignment letter to my payroll and I was told they will not honor any voluntary wage assignments. They are only concerned with garnishments. I have taken some scripting from another thread so I will know what to say to them in my one and only phone call to them. After that, I hope I never hear from them again. If I do, T & C has said they would take them on as all of my other PDLs are either PIF, written off or somewhere in limboland. I'm still waiting to hear anything back from the 2 illegal CA's that the one storefront and Cashnet turned me over to. I feel very empowered! Thanks everyone.

Just a quick update on CTC. I e-mailed and faxed the revocation of ACH and wage assignment letter to CTC on Monday 1/2/09. They were due to debit my account Friday. I have not yet sent the same letter certified return receipt via mail yet, but will do so. My payroll department got a copy of the letter and I was advised by the payroll person I spoke with that they do not honor voluntary wage assignments, only garnishments. I have not heard a peep from CTC, and as soon as I sent the e-mail and faxed the letter, I cannot access my account online. I guess that means they received it. I e-mailed the same letter today and requested a response that it was received within 24 hours. If I do not receive this, then I will direct my complaints to BBB, AG's office and whoever else I think needs to know about these jerks. I refuse to call them and I just won't answer any calls. So far, I've heard nothing. I imagine the calls will start once I've actually defaulted.
