I'm not so sure I would use your fax at work if you intend on faxing anything to them, these companies have a sneaky way off attempting to obtain information, plus your employer might not be so happy about it. They are definitely an illegal shady company, next time they call I wouldn't respond to their call, I would just hang up, either that or pretend you are someone else and tell them you are no longer employed there and left NO forwarding address.

I called the number back and they said they are a lender "finding" company, so through them I got funds through Outback Bucks. They gave me the fax for OBB which I already faxed to them. The Loan Center - is that a real lender then?

Outback Bucks a REAL lender? Well I'm pretty sure they're located in NV, but unsure as to whether they're licensed to lend in your state.

What I want to do is fax a C/D letter to "THE LOAN SHOP" b/c they are the ones calling on the behalf of Outback Bucks. OBB is the lender, but I went through the Loan Shop to get the PDL.
I don't want the Loan Shop calling me anymore.

Whoa, so in other words, OBB is either affiliated with The Loan Shop or they ARE The Loan Shop using another alias name, my gosh, they just never stop do they, just keeping changing their names to suit their needs. :?

I bet if we really did some serious research we would find out that some of these companies have ton's of alias's...its a very scary thought

Keep in mind, when you are sending any letter to any company regarding debt then do it through CRRR.

It is also a good idea to send them a letter demanding proof that they legally bought the debt from the original debtor. It will buy you 30 days where you can research it more and if it is the same company using 2 names.....they can send you the info via USPS....not email (most states are unclear as to whether email suffices as proof) so I would follow up always with a Certified/Return Receipt requested thru the US Postal Service. That way if it comes back as unsigned for or not picked up, that helps YOUR case. If it comes back as addressee unknown or unable to deliver, all the better also.
