hello all,
I am in the process of fixing my credit. alkl i have is two bad marks, total 290$ and 593 score bc of that. no other credit history. I have sent debt validation letters to the collecting agencies and need to know:

how long it takes to hear from them?

also, First Premier has extended a 9.9APR credit card offer to me with 20 credit out of which 150 is in fees:( the letter states i will be eligible to credit increase in 6 months (for a 25$ fee).

should I accept this offer?
if not, which other creditor should I get in touch with?

thank you nice people, it's great to find this forum.

aloha from hawaii

i wouldn't.do a search in the top right.this and other sub-prime cards are just fee driven.if you think you can pay the fees just to get the actual credit limit go for it.i personally wouldn't recomend it.a secured card is better in my opinion.

some do,but it should state it in the terms and condtions.i have an APPLIED BANK visa.only a 200.00 limit, but they are reporting positive.another is new millenium bank.even some secured cards are ones to avoid like ORCHARD BANK.do not go with them.
