Help with a foreclosure summons

We got served today (Saturday) and have 20 days to respond in writing to the attorney that has our case. I need a sample of a letter to answer the summons. My husband has been talking to Chase (the lender) and they told him that he qualified for the loan modification plan, and now we get served with the summons.
We are totally lost and do not know where to find a sample letter to respond to the attorney.

Sounds like the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. We had a similiar problem, ours being due to the loan modification office being in New Orleans at the time of Katrina. We called the modification office and it was taken care of.
