She, Karen Lamb, called me today, she's the one I have been emailing the C/D letters to already. She said that they have many lawyers that deal w/ deadbeat people like me, they want an additional $510, only western union or credit card.
I told them that the Indiana AG said money order to a physical address only, and that I already paid the principal anyway. She said that it made no sense that a western union isn't safe, but a mail money order is. It could get lost in the mail.
I told her I had already sent C/D letters stating she could not call my work, and she said she would call everday x 30 a day until I was fired. I told her that was illegal, she yelled at me that I'd be in jail and all my co workers will now I'm a deadbeat bill payer and a bad nurse in general.
how can I proved she called after she was told not too.

Here we can't even answer someone else's phone if it is ringing. Start Screening your calls. Do you have Caller ID at work? If you do this will help when avoiding that number. If not, if you can, let all the calls go to vm, every couple hours (when you have a free moment) check vm and return the ligtimate ones. Once you have a few of her VM's obtain an attorney and sue them for violations to the fair debt collections act.
Eventually, when she knows she's not getting ahold of you they will give up. Also send e-mails every day if you have to that you do not want to be contacted at work etc.

These people are evil, they called me at work today...they have threatened to contact my employer and report me to the state of Florida where I live. I borrowed $350 and have paid $680 and they say I owe another $495. I don't know what to do...I have send a C&D letter, emails and they keep calling. Any suggestions? Actually, if I were you I would inform your employer that you were scammed by an illegal lender which you have MORE than paid off, tell them they are harassing you illegally. If these phone calls fall into your hands again hang up and do not respond at all, these people will soon tire of talking to thin air. This really is your best defense, no response.

shazzers is right. thats pretty similar to what i told my boss just to give him a heads up. but so far i havent heard of any of them calling me at work. i know sooner or later its going to happen, and since i did give him a heads up when he does get ahold of one of the calls i know he will rip them a new one and they will definetly think twice before calling me at work again. hopfully your boss is as cool as mine.
