Yes i have a payday loan from the store front lender of The Cash Store, i lost my job, my bank account is now in the negative and they are relentless to letting me make payment plans before it defaults. It defaults today, i owe them 400$ with a cso fee of 81$ for a total of 481 and some change. What kind of action can i expect them to take and is this a criminal offense for letting the check return NSF? i know that they are a registered CSO just need to know what kind of options i have to that i dont have a job to pay them and they dont care!

If you gave them a check, stop payment on it. You can not be prosecuted in any way for this. They will call you for a few weeks and then stop. Then Alliance Asset Management will call and be very rude to you. The phone number they call from is 630-760-1110. I have asked them to send me something in the mail to verify who they are. They say they already did and I just need to pay them. I told them to stop calling my work but they still call a couple of times a day. Bottomfeeding slime.

The Cash Store will not show up on your credit report. Crazy woman.

I have repeatedly asked them to send me something to verify the business they have with me and they refuse or lie to me. Until they verify the debt, I will not even talk to them. I am going to send them the C&D letter found on this site and send money orders to The Cash Store corporate office in amounts that I can afford, which is within my rights. There is nothing in the law that says you have to pay a Collection Agency.

If you gave them a check to hold, you should stop payment on it.

The police will not come for you. It is not illeagle to not be able to pay your bills. I am not an expert here but I can help with The Cash Store based on my own experience.

I had a loan for 1500. I paid it off and then took it back out. I paid on it for 4 months but then I decided that other bills were more important. They called a few times from the store and then from the corporate office. Then they gave it to Alliance Asset Management. You can read the rest above. Don't worry. Everyone on this site is or has been in the same place you are.

It is TreeMac funding. They actually fund the loan.

I would call each corp office and discuss the matter openly and honestly. It is my experience and opinion that dealing with the store level personell will get you nowhere as thier job is to collect what they lend. In many cases, the exception to the rule will need to come from upper level management with all three of these stores. ACE is the wildcard. From my discussion with a recent District Manager, they will deposit your check and it goes straight to Corp to the Collections Dept for them to work, so try to avoid collections and get to someone in Operations.

They will threaten you with jail but you cannot go to jail for this. And it is illeagle for the to even say that to you. Alliance will tell you all kinds of nonsense to get you to pay them.

No one can put you in jail for a loan. If they could, the jails would be overflowing with people like us.

i'm trying to mail out my 'stop calling' letters and i've sent to the individual locations where i took my loans out but the corporate office is calling my references, my coworkers, my employer, my landlord and if i mail the stop calling letter to the corporate offices then they legally have to stop calling or pay me up to $1000 for illegally contacting any third party when they have my current home phone and home address. I've told them many times to stop calling everywhere and only call to my home but they don't stop. i need to get these letters out so i have some amo against them to get them in trouble. i've admitted my debt over and over and over again and i've told them what i can pay and they will not accept it. i've been informed that they legally can not reject my payments if i'm willing to make payments especially when i have NOT denied that i do owe them. please someone help me find the corporate address to The Cash Store. Thanks!

I have a loan with Swift Cash (East Texas Lenders) and The Cash Store and Advance America. I have had to stop paying due to loss of my husband's employment. So, I need to know what I need to do from here. I have stopped payment on the checks with my bank. I was told by Swift Cash that I would be filed on in civil court. Do they have to contact you prior to filing on you in civil court? Do I send C & D letters now or wait until I start getting phone calls? I hate I'm in this situation and that I can't pay them back. I intended to pay every dime back. I just need advice on how exactly to handle this. I have had Swift Cash for over a year and have paid $404 each month in interest on a $1000 loan, so in interest alone i've paid over $4000. Basically the same with the others, just lesser amounts.

As a note from someone who has or possibly still works for a payday loan company at the store level we actually want to keep you from going to collections and nine times out of ten really care. People who call us and at least try to make something work we try to keep at store level so they do not get all the extra cost that the collection companies will add. I can say that at least about our store, I am a honey person rather than the attack kind. Wish you were all in our area instead of where you are.

Not if you used your truck as collateral. Call them and try to work out a payment arrangement.

Hi.
If you send them money its not going to do any good as long as they have access to your account. They are going to keep sending the ACH through for a certain amount then they will increase it pass what you owe. So what I am saying is if any money is going into your account change your account or take the chance that they will leave you out to dry with overdraft fees. Don't trust a phone conversation that they will work with you. They will take your information and go into your account at will.

First of all calm down, You are going to be going in circles with the cash store and tree mac cause they are one in the same company. They didn't pay your loan. they are part of the corporate office and use that name to go into your account after you make arrangements with the cash store corporate office under the cash store name, they keep sending ACH's to your account and they anticipate you having money in there at one point or another. So they send different amounts until one of them hopefully clear. Then you call them and they apologize to you for the inconvenience, then offer to work with you, then ask you how much you can pay on what day. Then thats when you put your money in your account thinking everything is fine. That is when Tree mac comes in and do a cash withdrawal for the whole amount you owe from the beginning and don't care if you have paid them half or whatever cleared from the ACH the cash store was successful with. So close your account make payment arrangements with the ones who are willing. go into the store make payments, Or buy a prepaid Visa or MasterCard and pay them with control over what they take out. do not trust the agreement with the cash store. You will be stuck with bank fees and overdraft fees adding salt to the wound.
