I settled with Citi for 20% which is usually unheard of with them. However, it all depends on how your financial situation looks. I'm a classic case for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and painted them that picture with every detail in a letter, once they verified what I said they figured get what they could. Each company looks at each person's situation differently when they decide what they will settle with. I was @ 120 days past due.
