Can someone please clarify for me which date is used when an old debt will be removed from a credit report? Do we use the date of first delinquency or the date of last activity? I am in CA so would it be 7 years past the date before someone will be removed on an old credit card account? Please help

Basically how many years does it take for an old charged off account to be removed from a credit bureau report and what date does the credit bureau go by in determining the charged off account? thanks
