Do Collection agencies work with DMP?

hi i just found this site bc i am currently on a dmp but i missed a couple payments last fall because of medical expenses.
my credit counseling agency said a couple of my accounts (credit cards) had been transferred to collection agencies.
will the collection agencies be willing to reinstate my DMP? or should I contact them (the collection agencies) directly and set up payment arrangements?
help! I am so confused at this point

DMP are done is "voluntary cooperation"....so it is hard to say. Some collection agencies will work with DMP's, others wont. Sometimes it is also up to the client. Call and ask.
