Paydaymax.com Info

I have looked through some prior threads on this company and found several that said they were illegal and were based out of Canada.
Of course, I could be wrong here - and I am sure someone will corerct me if I am - but it appears they may have moved to another location. When I went online yesterday to get an extension to my loan with them (to give me time to get ACH blocked and account closed) here is what their information came up as on the contract:
paydaymax.com Inc.
Old Airport Road, The Valley
Anguilla, B.W.I.
So, it seems they are in the British West Indies. Can someone clarify that because of its location outside of the U.S. that this in itself makes it illegal? The contract states that Anguilla, B.W.I. law will have governing law.
I havent contacted them yet because I have until January 31 (for some reason they let it stretch out much longer than the others) before another payment is "due". I borrowed $350 from them and have only paid back $290 in principal so I guess I just send them a US$ money order for the $60? Will they even be able to cash a US money order in the British West Indies? LOL.

Hi Leslie,
If they are out of the British West Indies, then they are illegal. They would have to be located within the US to be legal, and then it would only be if they were licensed in the state the customer lives in. Unless of course it is one of the "loophole" states, then they would need to be licensed anywhere in the US. :)
