I had a phone call last night from Portfolio Recovery Assoc inquiring about a debt from 1998. Of course, I didn't know who the original loan was through and didn't acknowledge the debt. What rights do I have or what should I do about them trying to collect a debt from 11 yrs ago?

I live in SC. I asked them what type of loan and she said secured by household goods. I guess a personal loan. She also said I was accruing interest rates on this outstanding loan.

secured by household goods?sounds like BS to me.get that DV and limited C&D letter out.this sounds like it is out of SOL.either way do a search in the bar top right.this is a bottomfeeder deluxe JDB.
