I need some help resolving my issue with this company. I had to close my bank acct on 010909..I am willing to pay the right amount of money but not what they want.. what do I do ..NJ

you are in NJ right?then this pdl lent you illegally.you only owe the amount borrowed.two questions

1)how much was borrowed
2)how much was debited total, include all so-called fees

you see anything that they call fees goes toward the loan.
example:if you borrowed 300.00 and they took two 90.00 payments.you owe 120.00 on this loan.it is good you closed your account.now file NJ AG complaints against this pdl.the AG will make sure you pay only what you owe.

Well,, I borrowed 400.00 the finance charge was 120.00

They have debited me 480.00 for which I retracted 240.00 back.. How do you know it is illegal.. I am in NJ .. they are in Delaware.. I am very nervous about this.

i just went to the payday loan help forum and clicked the top heading.it gives the pdl laws for all states.yes pdl's are prohibited in NJ.you say they took 240.00 on a 400.00 loan?then you owe 160.00.that is it.file the AG complaint asap.

Thanks to both of you. They were very nasty to me on the phone this past week. Im filing the complaint now. should I send them money in good faith or just wait for a response from the Division of Banking and Insurance??

i would wait.this place might take your payment and not apply it all toward your loan.also any agreements, settlements.you should get in writing before paying.either by e-mail or snail mail.i just don't trust these places.i know you owe and your willing to pay,but your statement about them being nasty just ain't right.again i would wait.

Thank you.. I just sent a complaint to the Banking and Insurance Depart. I will call them tomorrow and see if I should fax anything.. If the loan was for 400 and the finance charge was 120.00. why dont I owe 280$.. I dont understand You are right about paying in advance. I dont trust them. I thought I was speaking with bull dogs on the phone.

Let me see if I have this right.

They lent you $400. They then took out $480 but you took back $240. Is that right?

Since they are illegal the finance charge is part of the principle. The loan was illegal so the finance charge was illegal.

You only owed them the original $400 which you have paid $240 of leaving the $160 as paul said.

Once you send them the template letter stating they are illegal and you only owe them the $160 they should respond.

If they agree that you only owe them the $160 then you can make arrangements to pay that amount using a money order or a prepaid Visa but do not send them any payment until you get it in writing.

I recv a letter from the Depart of Banking and Insurance. they are investigating.. You know whats funny, I really think Integrity has people looking at this site.

do you happen to know if using another company in the past who as charged fees, are they responsible for reimbursing them?

i looked it up by the name it comes up as no results, does that mean it's not legal. i just took out a loan with them bout 2 weeks ago for 500 they charged me a fin. charge of 150 so they took that out and then told me that everytime i pay i have to pay 150 plus whatever else amount towards my balance unless i pay in full. i made a pyament of 200 this past week so they've taken 350 already. i sat on the phone with a rep. to figure out how much it would come out once i was done paying the way they want me to i end up paying 1100 total. i am trying to avoid this situation as much as i can, which it would have been better not getting in it. i wish i would of read this post before getting into this mess.
thanks
need some help

You're correct, they aren't licensed to lend in your state. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

No, don't even give them a hint of what you are about to do or they will go into your bank account and wipe you out, and besides, no matter what you say to them they will call and harass you anyway, the key is not to talk to them no matter what, hang up immediately.

:( I live in TX. I also did a loan with integrity advance and this was back in Oct.2010 I have been seeing since then they have took out of my account first $90.00 four times then a another of 124.00 then another for 134.00 and now 110.00..I only borrowed 300.00 and now they have taken more than I borrowed to my knowledge I recall them stating that they would take the money that I owe from my account in 4 payments so far it has been more than that what can I do or what should I do?
