The Clark Howard Show on CNN today did a segment about Pay Day Loans. He is really smart and has common sense information about finances. He said that you should NEVER get a payday loan. He said that payday loans are the worst ways to EVER get money. Now, if everyone would listen. He has a great show and give good advice about things.

I currently have 6 illegal internet PDL in Va. I have gone to my bank with a copy of the liscensed lenders in va (from SCC) and the statutes governing such. I am also sending all PDL email that the bank, SCC attorney general and everyone including the garbage man has been notified. Hopefully, since I have paid off principle, I can zero these out. I was able to enlist my bank in assisting me in stopping illegal financial activity. For now.

I wouldn't get a loan of any kind unless I really desperately needed it. The interest is terrible. It's like they're preying on people's desperation for help with such high interest. I pity anyone in a position to need a loan. Approach with caution;that's my advice.

A Collecation agency called me saying that I owed a bill to AT&T for $381.00 from 1991. I was president of the corporation that had AT&T starting in that year up untill I sold my stock in the company in Sept of 2000. Sort of stands reason to me if I had the AT&T for 9 years after that I would have sure AT&T would have said something for it would show up on my Bill. How they are telling me I have to prove I didn't owe it after 19 years later. Can they do that? Isn't there a statute of limitations in the State of Wash.

Have you received anything in the mail from this company? Don't do anything until you have something in writing. Then yes, there is a SOL in Washington:

Washington Statutes of Limitation

Written contracts and accounts receivable: 6 years, (RCW 4.16.040).

Oral contract: 3 years (RCW 4.16.080).

Recovery of property and judgments: 10 years, (RCW 4.16.020).

I AM ADVISED THAT MR. CLARK DISCUSSED THIS POSSIBILITY ON A RECENT TELEVISION PROGRAM. I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF SOMEONE COULD ENLIGHTEN ME AS TO WHERE I MAY LOCATE THIS FACT.

YES, I WOULD BE A RECIPIENT. SURE WOULD HELP.

I've never have seen him, however, alot of good reviews are in the above posts. :) I would look on the Internet (on Mr. Clark's website) and see what he says about consolidation for CC's. Or..you can do some research your self, on the web, and look at different 'ratings' on CC consolidation companies, etc.
