I have sent "the letter" to support @ discountadvances.com. I have not received acknowledgement of this letter (sent it 2 days ago). Today, I get the email that I have a payment coming due on Friday and that x amount will be deducted. I replied to it and copied the original letter I had sent along with it. Messages have always been sent from this address to my email. Their website had no email address listed. Just a phone number. Does anyone have a different e-mail address for them? I also noticed they are out of Grenada. Funny that people who borrow from them are so desperate at the time that they don't notice that!

You will need to block the ACH transaction at the bank or you may need to close your account.

A lot of internet PDLs will not even correspond with you until their payment is denied at your bank.

I will keep looking but so far no luck on an email address only a phone number. 800-446-8482

When I started this process, I had 4 pdl taking money out of my account. 1 quickly gave me a pif and a 2nd stopped the withdrawls and I am working on a pif with them. The 3rd & 4th I just sent letters to on Monday. Thus far, I have not had to close my bank account and really hope that I don't. I have heard mentioned on here about a hard block or something on bank accounts. I have not gotten responses from the 2 letters that I sent Monday and the payments were due to come out tomorrow. Should I call my bank and ask for that? I do have 1 legitimate check that will be coming through for my car payment and I need that to be able to go through. Can the bank do that?

Unless you have put an ACH block on the payday companies the debits will go through.

I would contact your bank and speak to the bank manager. Let them know that you have two payday loans and that you have discovered they are illegal. You have sent them an ACH revoke but they are still attempting to collect on an illegal debt.

They should be able to put a ACH stop payment on those PDLs. Mine was able to and they sometimes charge you a fee for doing it. My credit union charged me $30.

The bank won't reverse them unless you let the bank know in advance that the ACH transactions from the PDLs has been revoked.

If they can't put the block on just those ACH transactions then ask for the hard block and then contact your car payment place. Tell them that there is some fraud happening on your account and the bank is investigating but in the mean time the account is suspended. Make arrangements to send them a MO or if you can just go to their payment center with the payment.

You could also get a prepaid Visa and make the car payment that way as well. Just call them in advance so they know what is going on and will be prepared for your check to be blocked.

I need to use my overdraft protection for 2 more weeks and then, if needed I can close the account and open another. I'd be happy to use the same bank but, I don't know if they will be able to transfer my overdraft to another "new" account. I am so close to being and staying in the black!...Just need 2 more weeks.

Thanks for your help. I went ahead and faxed the email that I have sent to discount advances. This way I have th efax confirmation page to take to the bank if needed. I had called them and asked for their email address and when the man asked if I had an account I said no. He said that he was not able to give me that information if I didn't have an account. Cityview I had a good email address for. But, I haven't heard anything from them. I owe CV $20. I owe DA $215. I want to pay them but, via money order. If I do end up changing my account number with the bank, can I keep my debit card the same number? I have some things that are on autopay with that number. That would make my life easier. All I would need to do is get new checks. I thought you were going to send me some snow. All I got was the cold! :)

I sent all my ACH Rev letters 10 days before they were due to come out of my bank account. The bank froze my account so the transactions were returned unpaid but I still got the notices from the bank so I know all the pdl's still tried to get money from my account. Thank goodness for that hard freeze!!!

They will try and debit your acct and you will have to close that acct and open another one. You can use the same bank, if you don't they will continue to try and debit your account. I have dealt with the pdl for quite some time now and we have been successful in getting people debt solved with them. If you need help call me at (telephone number removed for your safety. cannr)
