Does anyone out there have an address for Lawal & Associates. They are on my list of letters that I need to send out. They are harassing me non-stop. I took out a $200 loan with Sagamore March 08 and paid them $480 and finally put an ACH hold on them. They continued to take out the finance charge without paying down the loan. They turned the loan over to this "Law Firm". I explained to them that I live in NC and payday loans are illegal and I've already paid the principal amount of the loan. I'm going to send them something in writing so they will leave me alone!!!

Also, has anyone gone to their bank and filed a claim against your overpaid debits to these pdl's. I've filed claims against other items but not pdl's. I have a pdl with Speedy Payday loan and they continue to take out $90 every two weeks. I've paid them almost $1,200 on a $300 loan. I highly doubt they will issue me a refund but I believe that if I file a dispute against these debits with the bank they will refund them up to 60 days. The loan company would have to provide documentation to the bank to show that their debit was legit. I'm nervous about doing this but look what they've taken from me???? If my bank will give me my money bank then it's worth trying. I am in the process of consolidating my pdl's and paying them off but this one will not be on my list. They will be receiving a letter to mark this loan PIF!!!

What you need to do is close down your bank account and open a new one. If you don't they will continue to take money out of your account. Lawal & Associates, I have delt with them before and they are slimmer than a snake in crude oil. I would file a claim with the attorney general of your state and the better business bureau.
