Hi I'm writing because i was sued and the summons said i have 30 days to respond. Second i called the lawyer and made payment arrangements. They sent me a stipulation... basically it says that if for any reason i miss a payment, they will enter default judgement. They want me to sign and return in 5 days. If i don't they i must file an anwer with court within 10 days of the letter's date, I thought I had 30 days to file an answer ???

The attorneys office probably wants a response within 5 days. The court gives you 30 days. If you are accepting the deal, you will probably want to sign there agreement and also send a copy to the court with with your response within the 30 days. You still may need to show up in court.
