Ok so I have a small bill from At & T that's been placed with these people. So I asked for an address to send the balance, the collector said they only do over the phone payments, of course I know that's bull, and I DID NOT provide any of my banking info. So here's my question how do I pay them??? Thanks Reny

you hold out for an address.period end of story.they want to get paid then they provide an address.

I finally received a letter from West Asset Mgmt, after they kept calling me. I just didn't answer the phone. What I find interesting about this letter, is that there are three different addresses on it. One says mail all correspondence to an address in Stockton, CA; another says mail payments to a POB in St. Louis, MO; and the last one is a return address of a POB in Wixom, MI.

Figure this out. How do you send a cease and desist letter when you don't know which address to send it to?

I didn't make any payments. I have a very small business, and that was my business account. I used to take credit cards through TransFirst in CO, but due to declining business, I decided to stop taking them. When I submitted the paperwork to close the account, TransFirst slapped me with a $250 early termination fee, plus the $33 overdraft fee from Wamu. That caused the account to be overdrawn by $282.

I went into a Wamu branch to talk to someone about it, and the person I spoke to was very young and not knowledgeable at all. All she said was that it would be reported to ChexSystems. I explained to her that I lost my job in January, and it took three months for my unemployment to start coming in, so I was unable to pay on it.

I've been on unemployment since the end of March, and it covers my rent and bills, with not much left over. So at this point in time, there's nothing that I can do until I get another job, and start sending payment to them.

They can report on my credit reports all they want. It can't get any worse than it already is. But I never have to worry about someone trying to get a credit card in my name - there's no way it would happen. I have no credit cards, don't want any, and I like it that way.

I just got another call from West Asset, this time from another number, but still a VA area code. I'm going to do my C&D letter, get it sent out certified, and tell them when they call, that if they call again they'll be sued.
