I have paid this co. that says they are gonna help me and i am doing all the work. I also don't know what to do I faxed all the co. and told the bank and signed several affidavits but my checcking account is neg. everytime i look they keep taken money out. HELP

Are you sure that they are debiting your account without consent? I'm asking because in case of payday loan consolidation/settlement money is deposited in a trust account and then paid out to the different pdls.

In case you find any problem with PDL Eliminators then you can terminate the contract with them and ask for the refund. It's your right.

I am using them as well. they took their 200.00 from my account and haven't done anything for me. I don't think you can get your money back. I do believe there was a claus mentioning no money refunded. But I am not sure. I also did all the work contacting everyone and contacting my bank. They havnen't done anything. My bank account as well is recieving with drawls from the pdl co. Eliminators are not much help so far.

I just got off the phone with pdl and getting ready to sign up with them but am leary now reading all of your stories. Any changes since youve last posted? My 200.00 doesnt come out until the 6th of Feb so I have a little time but if it seems like they are not helping, then I should cancel. They also told me to close my checking account. Did they ask the same of you?

i remember signing up for this PDL ASSISTANCE. its a pdl eliminator thing. first gotta pay them 200 NO REFUND. they sent me documents, i signed them all and faxed them back. And my PDL kept calling me, some of my pdl told me they dont do any type of counseling or any company that do pdl consolidation etc. I asked the PDL ASSISTANCE about the company that are harrassing me, they didnt do anything for me, they just told me if any of my pdl calls again, i'll just give them the PDL ASSISTANCE #. And yes, I HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK FOR THEM. I have to fax all the papers required for my pdls. I have to call each and every one of my pdl lettin them know im on the pdl assistance program. What can they do for me??? seems like I just paid them 200 bucks. Such a wasted money. 200 bux. geesh. they didnt do anything for me.

I dont know if were all talkin about the same company. but the company i dealt with was PAYDAY LOAN ASSISTANCE. Just be careful who u signed up for i think some dont really work. they want you to pay upfront and you do all the work for them.

I have 4 pdl coming due this friday and my pay will not cover what is going to come out. I am glad I saw that about pdl assistance, I was ready to sign up with them! What do I do?? I cry and lose sleep and am physically sick because I don't know what is going to happen to me. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am a resident of Pa., and the pdl companies are mycashnow, 1800899cash, and thecashspot, the fourth one I don't even know the name of (shame on me, robbing Peter to pay Paul.). Thanks and God Bless!

I myself had 4 of them going. It was really stressfull. I also called PDL ASSISTANCE but didnt sign up with them. They were really nice though. I ended up calling or emailing each one that I owed and told them the bind I was in. They all agreed on smaller payments and no more interest!!! I think the real reason was because I had mentioned to them contact PDL ASSISTANCE if they didnt agree on terms with me. I did close my checking to be safe...and not get over draft charges.... I think if your honest to the lenders and really explain the problems, they will work with you.

you should pay back what was borrowed, but if through there illegal fees you have paid the principle then you owe nothing.

paulmergel, thanks for the info. After reading what has happened to a lot of borrowers here, I consider myself lucky. Either that or it was the paticular companies it borrowed from. Time will tell though. If anything doesnt run smooth during my payoff process I will for sure let you know...Thanks again.

paulmergel, I do have a question. I made agreements with two of the payday companies that were really friendly and were willing to help and agree to terms. Due to the contract I cant say who they were.

I have one more to go. I contacted them last week thru email and a rep. called me. I told her I would get back Monday which is today. I called the number she gave me but it led to a advertisement to my cell phone that wanted 9.95 or what ever to acess that number. I also tried to email again and still have no response yet. I am willing to pay them back in terms that we agree on but I cant seem to contact them.

Should I just wait for them to contact me???

My checking was closed and another was opened. My bank manager told me they wont be able to access my acct.

PDL Assistance, Inc. dba PDL Eliminators, an Alabama debt settlement company, refunded $5,825 to 12 Colorado consumers and paid $17,000 in investigation costs and penalties. It failed to comply with the law???s provisions on program fees, cancellation rights, cautionary disclosures and advertising. It is not registered.

I am in Connecticut as well and have 4 PDLs out. I am interested in the law from one of the previous posts. My dilemma is I have been laid off - I have one more paycheck and then won't know what to do to pay these guys off. I have already well over-paid what I even borrowed. From the CT Gov website, it says ""Payday" loans, also called "deferred deposits," are very short-term loans, usually for a few hundred dollars at fees that, when calculated as annual interest rates, can sometimes be as high as 700%. Connecticut statute does not authorize such loans. Connecticut's usury limit for entities that are not banks or otherwise exempt is 12% annually, which appears to prevent such loans here.

Do you think this means I could settle? What would you offer them if you already paid back what you borrowed in interest/fees alone? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks, did you have to close your bank account? How did you go about setting it up? Did you just pay the remainder of the principle only? Did you send them a letter or did you just talk to them to work it out? Sorry for all the questions! Just desperate to get this resolved so I can have some money again!

go to the fifth sticky in the PAYDAY LOAN HELP forum.it will show you what you need to do about dealing with illegal lenders.BTW,they most likely will want a biiger amount than what you owe.remember any fees get taken off the principle.which is all you owe.

frankief ,
Two of the three companies I borrowed from, I called and made payment arrangements... they were no problem to deal with.
The other company was giving me a hard time until I faxed one of the letters I got at the PLD help forum.

Who cares if they get angry... as long as your going to pay them back , they should be happy.

I went through Your Payday Loan Help which seems similar to this. I've only had one creditor refuse to work with them and hopefully that's taken care of now. I only had to pay $150 upfront fee and they take $10 off per monthly fee. Once they have your electronic signature and authorization to communicate they should send out the letters for you, and send you copies. They ask that you keep a log of all contacts from you lenders. Other than the one lender it seems their plan has worked but I suspect I could have done much of it myself and save money. Either way, I signed up for it and it looks like they've done their job so I can't say much.

PDL Assistance does work but you must pay to build your account and they take fees from what you pay them. The best thing to do is to close your bank account (for those on automatic debit) then to call each creditor for arrangements. Write down the name and extension of the person you speak with. Send a certified letter with the first payment (or the full payment) and keep doing that until you are finished. The creditors want the money and are willing to take the fees away if you are willing to pay lump sum.
