my husband rec'vd a letter from CCR Partners today (09-10-2009)
my husband rec'vd a letter from CCR Partners today (09-10-2009) stating that he was in contempt of court. this is the first letter he has got from CCR Partners. we don't know who the actually company is that they say we owe the money to. they did not state who or how how much money is owed. it says he has 20 days to respond. the top of the letter says: Order Granting Plantiff's Motion for Contempt. it says he has 20 days & he may purge this contempt by responding to Plantiff's discovery?? we do not understand this. it also states that if he does not do this within the 20 days an arrest order may be issued?? PLESE HELP!! thank you!!

Call your local county civil court and check to see if a case has been filed. If not, sue them in Federal court for the FDCPA violation and collect your $1,000. Since you can get court costs and attorney fees, you should be able to find an attorney to take the case pro bono or go to www.naca.net for a referral.
