Let's start a thread and post thoughts on the doings in DC today!! Impressions, anyone??
First off, my prayers go out to Teddy Kennedy. I'm afraid we might lose him this year.
My strongest impressions of this day: the spectacular view of American citizens all up and down the mall in Washington, DC. Stunning, just stunning. President Obama: serenity personified. Seeing Senator Feinstein (my senator!!) and Speaker of the House Pelosi escorting President Obama: PROUD as a Californian. Difi has ALWAYS been a class act, imho, from the days she was Mayor of San Francisco after the tragic Milk-Moscone murders.
