No you can't. It is a scare tactic and an illegal one.

no this clown can't have you arrested for owing a debt.debts are civil matters not criminal ones.i wouldn't give him a dime.there might be some question og the legality of the loan.if it is illegal you should tell the clown you are entitled to a refund.whatever you do do not pay this fool.he cannot have you arrested.

Unfortunately Pa has weak laws regarding internet laws and recognizes the law of the state where the lender is located. I heard this may have changed and will look into it. I would still refuse to pay however.

All they can do is turn you over to a collection agency who can't collect on an illegal loan. Do not worry! You are legally paid in full under the laws of your state as they read now. Plus he would have to file suit in Pa which is not possible because of the fact they are not licensed. Tell him you owe nothing and not to call anymore.

PayCheck Today
I had someone get my banking info and write themselves a 1400.00 check and the total i lost was 2300.00. I had to close that account and credit cards etc. I had taken a loan out with paycheck today before that and contacted them explaining what had happened. They told me to get a prepaid debit card and they would take out payments that way. I did that and never heard from them again. That was in June 08. Well Jan this year I got a call at work saying They were lawyers hired from paycheck today and I needed to pay it now. I asked them to not to call at work work, they hung up. A week Later another call from a women this time. I explained about my account being used and all of that, she said I had to fax her my police report and would only give me a fax number, I wanted her number, again get hung up on. Well yesterday another phone call calling me a thief, yelling at me and I told him not to talk to me like a child, and he said for me to get my stories straight. And they were going to talk with my manager and payroll dept. I told him I had already called payroll and they told me unless they have taken me to court and they have garn. papers they can't touch my paychecks. I company is closing in 3 weeks so I don't have a job after that. I told them this also and he said I need to send them copies of my police report again, to a fax number in Florida, but I thought they were out of OK? Can anyone help me find out if they are Lic. in Ohio? And what can I do? He also said if I dont pay it now they are going to start adding 217.00 every 2 days interest on top of it?

Another member informs me that the Pa law was scheduled to go into effect on Feb. 1st but will only apply to loans beyond that date. It is also tied up in court because of a suit filed by cashnetusa. Sorry for the misinformation!
