Help
I took a loan in August of 2008 for $200.00 and they have been taking out $48.00 since August every week. I have paid them over $960.00 and I checked my account today and they took three payments. I already paid the loan amount off and it just keeps going. I have already put a stop payment on the $48.00 but they broke up the payment to $23.99 and $24.01. Anyone have any suggestions

A stop payment NEVER works with pdls. As in your case, they change the amounts, or since these places have many different dbas they will just use another name.Close your account it is the safest way tio rid yourself of this.

I agree with "guest," unless you close your account, they'll keep taking money. Please read the sections on this site about closing your bank account; and do NOT let achloan know ahead of time that you'll be closing the account or they'll try to get in and take whatever they can before it's closed.

achloan is one of the lowest of the lowest lenders, there is no way to contact them other than sending messages to them via their site, if you dispute any of the charges they will ban you from their site leaving you with NO way to contact them, therefore, it's best to close out that account and open a new one. You have MORE than paid them off, get your account closed asap or they will NEVER stop stealing your money!

Just a word of advice; once you DO close your account, they'll call you and threaten all kinds of things. I believe they're actually located in Ireland, their phone bank runs out of India, and they use a telephone number with a Utah Area Code! If they use the same line on you that they used on me, they'll make all kinds of unrealistic threats, such as to see you in a "British court of law." Or to "come and get you." As I said, they're located in Ireland, I told them to come on over, I'd be waiting for them! Just try to ride it out, don't worry too much about what ACH will say, there IS light at the end of the PDL tunnel.
ACH Loan
Well here is a little update, I have put a hard block on my account, so ACH Loan does not go into my account, they are calling for a California phone number that is directory assistance 213-555-5555 and they are calling 12 to 20 times a day. I have asked for a phone number and they say go to the website and I have reported them to the Ohio Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission.

I'd still keep a very close eye on my checking account, it's possible they'll try other ways to get their money (use a different name, maybe a paper check, etc). If they're calling that many times a day, I wonder if there's any way your phone company could block that number? Have you contacted your State attorney general office and whatever office it is in your State that deals with financial regulation, etc? Maybe they'd be able to offer some help. They were calling me at work, saying things like "we are recording you!" in a threatening tone of voice; I told them, that was ok, that I had THEM on the speaker phone and all of my coworkers were laughing at their outlandish threats.
Yes, I would definitely report them to your telephone provider,
Yes, I would definitely report them to your telephone provider, I would also record the phone calls because Ohio is a one party state, which means only one party in a phone conversation has to give permission to record a phone call, you would be that one party! Record the calls, them submit them to the Ohio Attorney General and the FTC!
