I was called by a collection lien company. They were rep. JC PENNY. I had a credit card with them in 1997-1999. I must not have paid it all off they are now sueing me. Have not used card for 11 years. What should I do

first of all the statute of limitations should be expired for this account? did you actually recieve a summons? Are you sure you owe the debt? I would ask to proof of this debt they are required to send you the proof. Is this the first time you have heard from them?
