When sending letters to PDL's requesting paid in fulls, refunds, etc. How much time should you give them to respond? In the letters, it says something like I expect a response from your company no later than January, XX, 2009. How many days should you give them?

some may respond with the PIF.others will fight you and claim they are legal.still others won't respond and sell it or give it to one of there idiot collectors.it varies pdl to pdl.as far as time frame goes, that also varies from pdl to pdl.giving them a time frame will spur the ones to give your pdl to collections to move faster.giving a time frame is useless to the pdl bottomfeeders.

What I mean is should you tell them you expect to receive a response from them in 5 days or 7 days or 3 days from the date of the letter? I want to be reasonable in giving them a chance to respond before I file claims with the AG, etc. But, I don't want to give them too much time either.
