In some states, the AG regulates payday loans but in most they only get involved if (a) there is a collection issue or (b) another regulator in the state sues the pdl. I always suggest filing complaines with the actual regulator rather than just the AG if the pdl isn't licensed in your state and/or isn't following the laws of your state.
